Muscle relaxing injections These widely used treatments are derived from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Used in appropriate ways they can achieve amazing effects, ranging from frown-line removal to helping cerebral-palsy kids to walk.
Injectable Fillers, Dermal Fillers Before & After Lip restoration We use a variety of fillers made-up of substances that occur naturally in the body such as hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite. The fillers come in different sizes and strengths, this makes them suitable products for the many different applications, such as:
Before & After Full Face Rejuvenation with dermal filler Collagen stimulating injections These injections are performed with a product similar to the naturally occurring lactic acid found in muscles. They stimulate the skins own collagen, resulting in plumper, smoother skin – especially good for cheeks and jaw-line. The effect of the injections takes a month or two to fully develop, and lasts for years – we’ve seen patients whose skin still looks better after 4 years.
Regen PRP Plasma Rich Platelets PRP (Platelet rich plasma) is the latest technology in skin rejuvenation, using your own cells derived from your blood, that are then reinjected into the skin to stimulate collagen and new skin cells. The treatment can reveal a vibrant, fresh youthful skin with a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles; this is due to the new collagen formation. PRP is 100% your own cells (autologous) and therefore there is no risk of allergy, or rejection. PRP is inherently safe. Areas that can be treated include all facials areas, including around the eyes and mouth, the backs of hands, the neck and décolletage.
Skin Needling & Scar Treatment Collagenesis (creating new collagen) using skin needling involves using a roller that has many fine, sharp medical grade needles. The needles cause thousands of ’microscopic injuries’ to the deeper layers of the skin, while the top layer, the epidermis remains intact. The deeper microscopic injuries induce the process of wound healing which in turn produces new collagen and skin cells. The number of treatments will depend on the individual collagen response. Generally speaking, you may need 2 to 6 treatments. Most individuals will require around 3 treatments approximately 4 weeks apart. Skin needling can be beneficial in treating scars especially acne scarring, loss of skin pigment (hypo pigmentation) stretch marks and old surgical scars.
Before and After treatment of acne scaring
Every day your skin, especially your exposed skin, is bombarded by ultraviolet light, ionising radiation and environmental pollutants and toxins. These exposures damage the skin by disrupting DNA, the genetic material in your cells. Fortunately the skin is able to repair much of this damage. Unfortunately the repair is only about 90% effective, and it is the 10% that isn't repaired that causes our skin to age. The NdYAG Q-switched laser puts out an infra red light with a wavelength of 1064 nanometers. This wavelength is different from visible light (eg IPL) because it is much more penetrating. The energy of the laser is absorbed by pigment, blood and damaged cells in the skin (the 10% that doesn't repair naturally) and causes a mild inflammation. As the skin recovers from this mild injury the overall healing process is closer to 100%. This results in fading of pigmentation, clarification of the skin and also is associated with new collagen production. This collagen then matures and contracts, tightening the skin and reducing wrinkles. After treatment there is a mild pinkness that usually settles within a day. The full response to the laser takes about a month, so this is the recommended minimum time between treatments. Improvement is equivalent to turning the clock back about a year (a fairly mild improvement). However, some people can see an obvious improvement even after one treatment. In addition to the infra red light, the NdYAG also emits green light which works more strongly on pigmentation and spider veins. In comparison to collagen, botox and similar injectables, the advantages of the laser are:

PDT is used to treat sun damaged, blemished and aged skin on all areas of the body. The treatment involves using a photosensitizing agent (ALA) in combination with light therapy. When the ALA is exposed to a specific wavelength of light, it produces oxygen radicals that kill unhealthy skin cells. PDT will treat skin conditions such as actinic keratoses, seborrheic keratoses, cystic acne, rosascea, psoriasis, warts and uneven skin tone. Follow up treatments may be required. PDT removes many years of sun damage revealing a fresher, younger skin.
The Erbium laser has been used for over 10 years to remove damaged epidermis (surface layer of skin). It is very effective but involves significant cost and downtime. More recently, fractional erbium laser treatment has become available. This treatment gives most of the benefits of re-surfacing with fewer of the problems. Effects:

Laser Tattoo removal with the ND Yag Q Switched laser is currently the most effective means of removing or fading tattoos, it has the lowest chance of scarring in comparison to other methods. The laser emits extremely high energy, short pulses of light that shatter the tattoo ink into minute particles allowing them to be removed by the body’s immune system. There are many factors involved in determining the number of treatments required for tattoo removal. Also prices vary according to the size of the tattoo. Most varicose veins are best treated with compression sclerotherapy – this involves a series of treatments with painless injections into the vein, using a solution that causes the vein to close. Varicose veins are due to the failure of the valves in the veins. These are found every few inches along the vein and normally prevent blood flowing back down the leg. In varicose veins, because of faulty valves, most of the blood is flowing back down the leg instead of returning to the heart, making the veins bulge, and often causing aching or swollen legs, restless legs at night and other symptoms such as burning and itching. In severe cases there can be ulceration. Treatments are followed by a week or two in support stockings (available from the clinic at the time of first treatment). The number of treatments required ranges from 1 to 6+.
Varicose Vein After Care
Spider veins or ‘ telangiectasias’ can also be treated by injection. Unlike varicose vein treatments, no stockings are required when treating spider veins. If the spider veins are too small to be injected Laser/IPL will treat them.
